Adventure Camp

What is the Adventure Program? We’re glad you asked!

The adventure program at YMCA Camp Greenville is where those seeking a chance to grow and experience the outdoors come to explore!  In our program, campers have many options and adventures to choose from.

Whether you are wanting to go underground exploring caves and caverns or climb to the top of mountain peaks, paddle rivers or swim under waterfalls, Camp Greenville has your adventure waiting for you!

What’s the difference between Base Camp and Adventure Camp? Simply put, base camp campers stay in cabins and eat all meals in the dining hall. Adventure campers are in cabins and eating in the dining hall on Sunday and Monday, then camping out on their “trip” on Tuesday through Friday morning.

Adventure Campers spend the first day learning skills, packing gear and coming together as a group before setting out on their trip. Our trips are designed to help campers push their comfort zones and be able to find self-discovery while surrounded by the best trained staff and supportive friends.

On their adventure trip, campers will learn to set up tents and tarps, cook on a campfire, tie knots, sleep outside, build confidence, contribute to a team, and all while having amazing experiences in the outdoors. See below for dates and descriptions for each of our trips.
