2023 Annual Campaign Celebration

On May 2, association leadership, led by Diana Watson and Scot Baddley, celebrated the success of the YMCA of Greenville Annual Campaign. The Annual Campaign is a fundraising campaign by the entirety of YMCA of Greenville branches. Camp Greenville donations contributed $250,000 of the $1,331,482 raised for the YMCA of Greenville Annual Campaign.

100% of Annual Campaign donations are used to provide direct support to people in the community. Scholarships are the heart of the Annual Campaign. Camp scholarships allow kids in need to experience time away from home in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Camp can be a life changing experience for youth as it allows them to learn new skills, get out and play, build friendships, and much more.

Melanie Sudduth, YMCA of Greenville Annual Campaign Chair presented a plaque to Camp Greenville campaign chair Austin Eckles.

Mental Health Initiatives have become a necessity, especially for our older campers. Donations allow us to support this program, which helps campers navigate pressures, establish healthy coping mechanisms, and strengthen relationships.

Any remaining funds after scholarships and mental health initiatives are used to support camp. Investing in camp provides resources to keep expenses low for campers and families.

Donations are essential to the success of camp and our campaign teams did an amazing job raising money. Hunt Huntley, Katie Varin, Chip White, and our Campaign Chair Austin Eckles led their campaign teams to surpassing our donation goal.

We are grateful for all of our selfless donors who’s generosity plays an essential role in providing a fun-filled summer for our campers.
