Staff Return from Mid America Camping Conference
The Camp Greenville program leadership team attended the 2025 YMCA Mid America Camping Conference (MACC) in Michigan, hosted at Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor Center.
The MACC is a cutting-edge community of YMCA camping professionals that is built on the foundation of an annual conference prepared by camp people, for camp people, and hosted at a MACC community camp. It is the mission of MACC to strengthen the foundation of the YMCA movement by educating, connecting, and motivating.
For 80 years the assembled staff who attend the conference have found support in their peers, education in high quality sessions, and solutions from the example of a host camp. The 2025 Conference theme was “Connected by Roots, Thriving as a Forest”.
Camp Greenville staff engaged in breakout sessions on the topics of camp community culture, parent communication, program progression, serving neurodiverse campers, strategic planning and more!
Attending the conference were (pictured here left to right): Bobo Blair, Adventure Program Manager; Cory Harrison, VP of Overnight Camping, Alyssa Leukroth, Camp Program Manager; Alexandra Beavers, Director of Base Camp and Family Programs; Jenna Johnson, Associate Executive Director; Stacie Simpson, Director of Business and Communications; Katy Harvill, Admin and Communications Manager; Mark Moseley, Director of Adventure Camp and Trip Programs.
