May Camper Updates

[This information applies specifically to registered summer camp participants, and was sent via email to registered families on May 10.]

Oh my goodness gracious, it’s May! Summer is almost here!

It’s your friendly Director of Camp Communications, Stacie, here! This message is JAM-PACKED with useful information and must-do tasks, so read carefully.

This month, we’re announcing... the fun stuff (like new water activities), the reminders (like check-in details and packing list), and the helpful context (including homesickness info and behavior expectations).

Most important: Check out the updates to our 2023 Camp Guide! This page on our website will continue to be updated regularly between now and your arrival to camp. It’s created to be your one-stop-shop for all Summer Camp information!

But here are the highlight…

FUN: New Lake Sudie Aquapark!

Sadly, the water trampoline that campers have enjoy the last several summers has taken its retirement.

But there’s always a bright side. We now have room for NEW water fun!

Introducing… the Lake Sudie Aquapark! Registered summer campers are the first to see this “sneak peek” rendering of the planned inflatable course, which features five different elements for campers to explore.

FUN: Camper Care Packages!

Pre-purchase a camper care package, featuring limited edition items not sold in our camp store.

Care Package will include camp branded items, similar to those pictured here (colors and styles may vary). Items planned include: Exclusive summer 2023 pillowcase design, Dry bag, Jellyfish Yo Yo, Dry Erase Notebook, Lip Balm.

The care package will be delivered to your camper on check-in day, and is a great gift and souvenir! Cost for the care package is $35. All care packages must be pre-ordered via the Parent Portal, or by contacting Stacie at the camp office. See more details here.

FUN: Camp Collage Pre-Order

We’re thrilled to partner with Camp Collage to bring a fun new option to camp families! Download the Camp Collage mobile app and start building your Camp Collage today! These pre-printed photo collages are uniquely designed to fit directly inside a Camp Trunk lid or to hang from a camp bunkbed. Learn more.

Reminder: Check-in/Check-out Info

A separate email will be sent out to you prior to your session as a timely reminder, but we know you want to plan ahead! Gates will open for check in on the Sunday of your session at 2:30pm and we ask that everyone is on property by 4:00pm. Check out is Saturday of your camper’s last session and gates open at 9am. We are not able to accommodate late drop off or pick up.
Additional (more detailed) info is available here.

Reminder: Packing List

The Packing List is now available. You can find it on the 2023 Camp Guide page. Feel free to reach out with any questions or clarifications.

Context: Read these Articles
Please take a few moments to read through these helpful articles on our website:

  • Helping Your Camper Succeed: We know that knowing what to expect and discussing it together as a family before camp will set your camper up for success! This article contains tips and information you’ll need to know.

  • First Aid + Medications: If your camper takes any kind of medication, you’ll need this info. Additionally, information about first aid and emergency situations is included.

  • Home Sickness: Homesickness is not only common, it’s nearly universal, and it is also a rare opportunity for growth. Learn about homesickness here.

Notes from Stacie:
As we get closer to the summer, we know questions may arise. Common questions are already answered on our FAQ page. This includes check in and check out times, bringing your campers medication, schedule overview and more. View the entire list HERE and if there is info you need that is not on here, just ask!

From now through the end of summer, I’ll be your family’s guide through the summer camp process. If I don’t know the answer, I know who does, and I’ll find out for you! You can text, email, or call me anytime.

I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!
