PACC: Prepare And Conquer Camp!
Preparing for camp, especially for first-timers, can be overwhelming.
It’s totally normal to feel uncertain and nervous about the summer camp experience.
If it’s your child’s first summer at camp, there’s a lot to think about. Questions like:
Will she make friends and have fun, or be lonely and sad all week?
Will he brush his teeth, change his clothes, and take his medicine without me there to remind him?
What if she misses me too much?
What if he gets hurt, or sick?
Are they ready?
At YMCA Camp Greenville, we’ve got you covered! We’ve prepared a treasure trove of resources, instructions, and support to help your camper (and you!) prepare for a successful week away from home, and make the most of their summer camp experience!
We’ve designed the Prepare and Conquer Camp (PACC) program to support camp readiness for new campers and their parents. Through the monthly resources - including blog posts, downloadable templates, podcast episodes, and more - your family will learn all about life at Camp Greenville and how to prepare for the experience at home to build maximum confidence before check-in day.
By completing each month’s Camper Quests, you’ll be working together as a family to practice the life skills needed to succeed in the summer camp environment.
