Upgrade to Temporary Restrooms at Pretty Place

The Pretty Place Chapel parking lot now features 3 new “event style” port-a-potties, which are considered an upgrade from the previous style in the world in portable/temporary restrooms. The larger of the three individual stalls meet ADA compliance as an accessible option.

As YMCA Camp Greenville completes Phase 1 of the Pretty Place Chapel Accessibility Campaign, which included expanding parking areas, and enters Phase 2, the upgraded temporary solution has been put in place until funds are raised and permanent restroom facilities will be constructed.

Shown here, a new sign has been installed near the temporary restrooms to educate visitors on the goals of the Accessibility Project, the phases for improvements, and how to make a donation.

YMCA Camp Greenville requests donations from the public to support this project. $100,000 is needed to construct permanent public restrooms. In the spirit of accessibility which covers all 4 phases of the project, the new restrooms will be wheelchair accessible and family-style/gender-neutral.

As always, be sure to check the Visitation Schedule for open hours before planning your visit to Pretty Place Chapel.
