April Camper Updates

[This information applies specifically to registered summer camp participants, and was sent via email to registered families on April 10.]

Happy April from Camp Greenville!

You’ve been receiving these emails monthly from our Director of Camping, Jenna Johnson. She’s traveling this week for spring break, so HELLO! This is Stacie, dropping into your inbox to help you prepare for summer! This message is JAM-PACKED with useful information and must-do tasks, so read carefully.

This month, we’re launching... the fun stuff (like weekly themes and spring tours), the FYIs (like check-in details and packing list), and the to-do list (including required forms and account payments).

To do: Required Forms (all campers) - due May 5

Camper forms are now available online in your camper’s profile! Log back in to your Camp Greenville account and complete the applicable forms noted for each camper in the Forms section of their dashboard. This includes health history, dietary requirements, and letter to cabin leader.
Forms Deadline: May 5

Special forms note for Adventure Campers: Campers attending an adventure program will see additional forms from our program partner outdoor centers. D2 Adventure Campers will see one adventure waiver. D3 Adventure Campers will see two adventure waivers. Your camper may or may not participate in either or both of these on-site programs, depending on weather, program schedule, etc. However, forms are required for all registered adventure campers regardless of program plans, as plans could change.

To do: Account Payments (all campers) - due May 5

While you’re logged into your parent portal, check the Financial section for your family’s remaining balance due. You may add a payment via your account at any time. If you set up a payment plan at the time of registration, all final payments are scheduled for April 17. Otherwise, all manual payments are due by May 5.
Scholarships are available for camper families with limited resources, and financial assistance is available for families facing temporary hardships. Please complete the “Financial Assistance” form within your Parent Portal as soon as possible to request assistance.
Balance Due Deadline: May 5

FYI: Check-in/Check-out Info

A separate email will be sent out to you prior to your session as a timely reminder, but we know you want to plan ahead! Gates will open for check in on the Sunday of your session at 2:30pm and we ask that everyone is on property by 4:00pm. Check out is Saturday of your camper’s last session and gates open at 9am. We are not able to accommodate late drop off or pick up.

FYI: Packing List

The Packing List is now available. You can find it on the 2023 Camp Guide page feel free to reach out with any questions or clarifications.

FUN: Weekly Themes!

Friday evening at camp is theme dinner and camper show. The dining hall and campers get dressed up and we celebrate the week we have had with a dinner dance party. Check the 2023 Camp Guide page to see what the theme is for the week your camper is here and add some fun dress up items to your packing list. If 2 weeks are on your schedule, make sure to pay attention to both weeks as each Friday will have a different theme.

FUN: Meet the Division Leaders!

We are excited for our incredible staff team this summer and are so honored that they choose to spend their summer with us. We have started introducing them on social media, beginning with our summer leadership team. You can also see their profiles on our website by clicking HERE.

FUN: Family Tours at Camp

We spoke to many of you during our “Chat with a Camp Director” virtual sessions last week, and you asked awesome questions – it was so fun to hang out! We realized that, especially for new campers, you’d appreciate visiting camp to see where you’ll be living and playing this summer. Click here to sign up for an in-person tour at Camp Greenville on either Saturday, April 22 or Saturday, May 6.

Notes from Stacie:
As we get closer to the summer, we know questions may arise. Common questions are already answered on our FAQ page. This includes check in and check out times, bringing your campers medication, schedule overview and more. View the entire list HERE and if there is info you need that is not on here, just ask!

From now through the end of summer, I’ll be your family’s guide through the summer camp process. If I don’t know the answer, I know who does, and I’ll find out for you! You can text, email, or call me anytime.

I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!
