Pretty Place Featured in New Music Video
Pretty Place Chapel is featured as the beautiful backdrop to a brand new music video launched today by Jay Allen and Southern Pictures.
“No Prayer Like Mama’s” will give you chills and bring a tear to your eye, all while warming your heart. The team at Pretty Place Chapel is honored to have helped host this project, which honors Jay’s own mother and brings awareness and support to the Alzheimer’s community.
As part of today’s video premier, Jay shared: “It’s impossible to explain in words how much this music video means to me. This is not just another release, it’s the end of what was a long and painful process of grieving the loss of my mother, and the beginning of healing and happiness. To all of you beautiful and strong mothers out there that have dedicated your lives to raising, protecting, and praying over your children, I dedicate this to you. Thank you for showing us all the power of a mother’s love. And to my angel of a mother, thank you for guiding me during your time on earth and now from heaven. You will always live in my heart as I begin to share the rest of me. This is my gift to you…”
Meet Jay Allen:
After seeing his mother suffer from Alzheimer’s, Allen wrote “Blank Stares”. A video of him performing the song with his mother on stage in Iowa went viral with over 500 million views on Facebook. His mother has since passed, but Jay continues to tour the country as an advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association, and the song has gone on to raise over $100 million dollars to help fight the disease.
Jay has been featured on NBC’s The Voice, ABC World News, PeopleTV, Pickler & Ben, and in People & Forbes Magazine, among others. He was selected as The Highway Find on Sirius XM with his song “Sounds Good To Me”, won the 2022 Country Now Awards as Favorite Competition Contestant, and was recognized as one of Music Mayhem Magazine’s 2023 Artists to Watch. He was also presented The Caregiver Award by The National Alzheimer’s Association.
