A Heartfelt Thanks to the YMCA of Greenville Foundation for Enhancing Safety at Camp Greenville

We are thrilled to announce that Camp Greenville has received an incredibly generous donation of $28,000 from the YMCA of Greenville Foundation. This substantial contribution is earmarked for the implementation of a state-of-the-art emergency communication system, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone at camp.

Safety has always been our top priority at Camp Greenville, and with this donation, we are taking our safety measures to new and necessary levels. The funds have been used to purchase over 75 radios and multiple repeaters, ensuring comprehensive communication coverage across our expansive 1,500-acre property. This new system will enable us to reach every corner of Camp Greenville via walkie-talkie radio, providing a reliable and immediate means of communication during emergencies.

This latest gift is the largest in a long history of generous support from the YMCA of Greenville Foundation. Over the years, the Foundation has consistently demonstrated its dedication to enhancing the camp experience for all our visitors. Previous contributions have included inflatable kayaks, shade sails, an emergency weather system, team-building courses, and improvements to our packout sites. Each of these gifts has played a crucial role in enriching the camp environment and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our campers.
