Happy National Volunteer Week!

This week we’re highlighting some of our volunteers that give their time and talents to Camp Greenville to celebrate National Volunteer Week. Learn more below about some of our volunteers and their role in preparing an awesome summer for campers and families.

Board Member Brooke Culclasure and Director of Development and Alumni Relations Gena Runnion share how they volunteer at camp and other ways to contribute.

Teenagers in our Leadership Development Program make up the majority of our volunteers at Camp Greenville. Bee Drennan, a Junior LDP shares her experience volunteering in Service Corp here at Camp Greenville.

Harvey Cleveland's family has been a part of Camp Greenville for generations. His grandfather donated land, his Dad attended camp, he came to camp, and now his children are campers! As a board member Harvey continues to give back to Camp Greenville.

Stephanie is our selfless Nurse coordinator who leads our on-site volunteer nurses. Our nurses do their part in keeping campers safe and healthy while at camp.

Volunteers are essential to keeping Camp Greenville beautiful. Jeff Henry talks on the value of volunteers and the importance of camp to his family.

Big shoutout to alumni Scott Dawson and Dianne Prince Swann (plus family: Jeff, Joel, and Sadie), and Greg McKee (not pictured). They spent an entire (cold!) weekend at camp in January, in camp's archive room in the Mulligan Center to sort and organize hundreds (or thousands?) of treasures from camp's 100+ year history. We're so grateful for their energy and enthusiasm for this project.

A big thank you to Justin Sprinkle and Jerry Sprinkle, who assist each year in clearing brush from the roadside at “Monk’s View” overlook near the entrance of camp, with the gift of time, energy, and use of equipment.
